Therapists Convened To Honor Spina Bifida Awareness Month

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — December 17, 2011 — Therapy Source, Inc. opened its doors on October 25, 2011 to raise funds in recognition of Spina Bifida Awareness Month for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and “Emma’s Faith”, a charity started by Therapy Source team member, Melissa Smith, a Credentialing Specialist. Melissa’s daughter, Emma, has undergone treatment at CHOP for Spina Bifida.

Therapy Source hosted a cocktail event attended by nearly 50 local therapists and CHOP representatives. The event was catered by California Pizza Kitchen.

Attendees enjoyed live music by Neil McGettigan, a silent auction, and food and drink. Auction prizes, such as a Philadelphia Eagles basket, a photography package, and spa/beauty products were sponsored by Therapy Source employees.

Event planner and office coordinator, Kat McGee, noted, “The event was very successful. We received rave reviews from all our guests about the cause, great food, and a silent auction fundraiser.”

Smith said, “I am blessed to work for a company that cares about so many. Everyone at the event touched the heart of my entire family. Our therapists are one of a kind, and we are lucky to work with them.”
