Therapy Source, Inc., a national therapy staffing firm, was honored to be designated as one of 14 finalists in the second annual Innovation Tournament, sponsored by Wipro Technologies, a leading information technology, consulting and outsourcing company, and Knowledge@Wharton, the online business research and analysis journal of the prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. TheraWeb®, a telepractice solution that enables remote therapy sessions, was selected as one of the top innovations from around the globe.
TheraWeb® provides online, real-time therapy services using state-of-the-art web, audio and video conferencing technologies. With TheraWeb®, students and patients worldwide can participate in scheduled treatment sessions from the comfort of home. Educational and healthcare clients benefit from greater therapist availability and lower cost of services.
The Innovation Tournament consisted of three phases, generating more than 160 submissions from six continents. During the semifinals, web-based videos were judged and selected for the finals based on novelty, feasibility, track record and overall potential.
